What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. The next time you visit, the browser sends the cookie back so the site can recognize you, remember a preference, or maintain your session.

What we use

Functional cookies (always on). These are required for the site to work. Examples include the cookie that keeps you signed in if you have an operator account, and the cookie that remembers you closed a notice. There is no opt-out for these without breaking the site.

Analytics cookies (planned). We may add a privacy-respecting analytics tool such as Plausible or Fathom in the future. These tools do not use third-party tracking cookies and do not build cross-site profiles. If we add one, this page will be updated and a banner will appear on first visit.

Advertising cookies. None. We do not run ads on pixel-pioneer.com and do not embed ad-network trackers.

Third-party cookies. If you watch one of our embedded YouTube videos, YouTube may set its own cookies under its own policy. We do not control those. The same applies to any external link you follow.

Your choices

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their privacy settings. Blocking the functional cookies will likely break some site features (sign-in, form submissions). For analytics cookies, when present, we will honour Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals where supported.

Compliance

This policy aims to comply with PIPEDA (Canada), CASL (Canada), GDPR / ePrivacy (EU/EEA) consent requirements, and the California Consumer Privacy Act where applicable. Changes
