Privacy Policy

Last updated · May 2026

The short version: we collect the minimum information needed to publish and respond to you. We do not sell anything to anyone.

What we collect

We collect information in two places.

The website. Standard server logs (IP address, user-agent, page requested, timestamp) for security and basic analytics. If you join the newsletter or submit a contact form, we collect the information you give us — typically your email address, and for contact forms a name and message.

The YouTube channels. YouTube collects whatever its own privacy policy describes; we do not control that, but we see aggregated channel analytics (view counts, watch time, demographics in broad bands).

How we use it

We use the information you give us to do the thing you asked for — send the newsletter, respond to your message. We use server logs to operate the site and to detect abuse. That is the entirety of it.

Cookies and analytics

See our Cookie Policy for the specifics. We use minimal first-party functional cookies and may add privacy-respecting analytics in the future. We do not use ad re-targeting cookies.

Third-party services

The site is hosted on Hostinger. Email transactions (newsletter confirmations, contact replies) may pass through transactional email providers. The YouTube channels are hosted by YouTube. Each of these has its own privacy policy and you should review it where relevant.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under PIPEDA (Canada), GDPR (EU/EEA), CCPA (California), or other regimes, including the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@pixel-pioneer.com from the address on file. We will respond within thirty days.

Retention

Newsletter emails are retained until you unsubscribe. Contact-form messages are retained for up to two years after the thread is closed, then deleted.

Children

Pixel Pioneer is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be announced in a more visible way.
